The Tyrolean Farmhouse Museum (Museum Tiroler Bauernhöfe) is located in Kramsach, east of Lake Reintal. Fragments of rural Tyrolean architecture have been collected and brought together in this special place: This is where you can visit 14 farmhouses with annexed buildings like mill, blacksmith and chapel, as well as small animals like ducks, geese and chicken.
For the 40th anniversary, the museum was redesigned in collaboration with the Atelier Brückner from Stuttgart and made more interactive: Video installations, accessible pavilions and listening stations give new life to the old buildings now. Also in numerous activities you can set your hand, e.g. making clogs, grinding knifes, knipling, baking bread, making cheese, and stirring butter.
One of the highlights in the museum are the Medieval Days in August - a journey back to the 13th and 14th century. In addition there's folk music, and local farmers provide for your creature comforts. And on a regular basis there are special afternoons for children in summer.

The indicated closure times refer to the last possible admission time, the farms close 1.5 hours later. Audio guide app included (downloadable from the App-Store or Google Play).
New: wedding pictures at the museum (€ 100.00 flat rate). The Tyrolean Farmhouse Museum stays open every year from the end of March to the end of October, season start 2024 on March 24.
